On August 1, Hu Qinghua, a 2021 enlistment student from the product design major of the College of Architecture and Design, and more than 300 other armed police officers and soldiers from a detachment of the first Mobile Corps of the Armed Police, rushed to Mentougou, Beijing, to carry out first-line flood rescue and disaster relief.
Hu Qinghua will finish his military service on September 1 and go back to school. After receiving orders during his service, he quickly threw himself into flood relief work. Go deep into the disaster area, through the rapids, about 20 kilometers on foot. During the rescue, he was hit by a pole and narrowly escaped serious injury.
