On November 3, in order to further strengthen professional practice and strengthen the awareness of territorial spatial planning, the Grade 2020 students of urban and rural planning major of the School of Architecture and Design of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology went to Fushi Township, Nankang District to conduct party construction and co-construction activities and field research on territorial spatial planning under the leadership of Professor Chen Jinquan and Dr. Huang Yingmin.
First of all, the two sides held discussions and exchanges. Li Xiaobin, member of the Party Committee of Fushi Township and executive deputy township head, introduced in detail the township situation, industrial development, functional positioning and rural revitalization of Fushi Township. He pointed out that Fushi Township has rich natural resources and superior geographical location, but it also faces some development difficulties. He hopes to provide more intellectual support for the future development of Fushi Township through exchanges and cooperation with universities.
At the meeting, Dr. Huang Yingmin, secretary of the first Party Branch of the College, elaborated and communicated on the spot on further strengthening the leadership of party building, promoting rural revitalization and professional development, and personnel training, and hoped to strengthen the exchange of party building activities with Fushi Township in the future; Chen Jinquan put forward requirements on the teaching of "Urban and Rural Master planning" and the field investigation of territorial spatial planning.
Subsequently, accompanied by Li Xiaobin, the teachers and students went into the village to inspect the local natural environment, village layout and industrial development. At the same time, combined with the course of "Urban and Rural Master Planning", I exchanged with villagers' representatives on rural industrial development, planning and construction and other issues to understand the development status and future planning of villages.
Through this activity, teachers and students have a deeper understanding of the importance of Party building leading the promotion of rural revitalization and development, a deeper understanding of the positive role of the "Urban and Rural Master Plan" course on rural revitalization and development, and further enhance the sense of responsibility and mission of teachers and students to serve local economic and social development.
