Online News Report: On April 22, the grand recognition ceremony for the 2025 "E-Reading Star" of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology was held. Deng Yuxin, a 2023-level graduate student majoring in Industrial Design Engineering from our college, stood out and won this honor. She also shared her reading and learning experiences as a representative of the awardees at the ceremony.
In her speech at the recognition ceremony, Deng Yuxin said, "I was filled with surprise and joy when I learned I had won this honor. It is both an encouragement and a motivation, strengthening my determination to keep moving forward on the path of reading."
Looking back on her academic journey, since she began preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination in 2022, the abundant resources and strong academic atmosphere of the university library have been a solid support for Deng Yuxin. After being admitted in 2023, under the careful guidance of Professor Liu Yubao and influenced by the regional culture of southern Jiangxi, she developed a strong interest in Hakka culture and red culture.
Professor Liu Yubao suggested that postgraduate students should actively participate in supervisors' research projects, focus on regional cultures such as Hakka culture and mining & metallurgy culture, while paying attention to social hot topics and disciplinary trends, and timely communicate and publish research results. Responding to this guidance, Deng Yuxin made use of the library's digital resource database to systematically study works such as
An Introduction to Hakka Culture, laying a solid theoretical foundation for her postgraduate studies. She also actively communicated with experts in the library's academic activities, kept up with academic trends, which provided valuable ideas and methods for her in-depth scientific research and thesis writing.
In the digital age, the university library's online digital resources have benefited Deng Yuxin a lot. The convenience of accessing knowledge anytime and anywhere has greatly improved her learning efficiency, enabling her to keep pace with the academic frontier of her discipline. She sighed, "We listen to the whispers of ancient sages in the long river of classics, and touch the pulse of the future in the digital starry sky." From ancient books to electronic screens, reading has allowed her thoughts to continuously accumulate and deepen.
Deng Yuxin's award is not only the result of her personal efforts, but also demonstrates the positive achievements of our college in postgraduate training.
