Online News Report: To enhance the functions of various departments of the college’s Postgraduate Union and enable each department to have clearer goal planning, the Postgraduate Union of our college held the 2025 Spring Semester regular meeting in Room 221 of the College Building at Hongqi Campus on March 6. Liu Xianpeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, with all members of the 2nd Postgraduate Union participating. The meeting was chaired by Li Jiantao, President of the 2nd Postgraduate Union.
At the beginning of the meeting, the person in charge of each department made a brief summary of the work in 2024 and reported on the work plan for the new semester of 2025. All departments stated that they would continue to cooperate with the college’s overall arrangement, further carry out regular activities such as academic forums, cultural and sports events, and voluntary services, to further consolidate the fine academic atmosphere and create a harmonious campus environment. Subsequently, the meeting conducted in-depth discussions on prominent issues existing in the current student work, such as the insignificant effect of academic atmosphere construction, low student participation rate, and students’ lack of enthusiasm in participating in sports activities, and studied and formulated further improvement measures.
Finally, Deputy Secretary Liu Xianpeng made a summary speech. He said that all departments should improve their functions from aspects such as work positioning, work levels, and work focus. The work of the Postgraduate Union this semester should closely focus on the core of "from students, to students", take the continuous improvement of academic atmosphere construction as the top priority of work, and at the same time create a good academic research atmosphere; it is necessary to actively organize and carry out a variety of campus cultural activities, especially to organize and mobilize students to actively participate in sports activities and build characteristic brand activities; it is necessary to further strengthen safety awareness, establish a safety bottom line, actively track and pay attention to special student groups such as those with psychological barriers, academic difficulties, and employment difficulties, to ensure the physical and mental safety and health of students. He emphasized that "details determine success or failure, and management is efficiency".
This Postgraduate Union work meeting has laid a solid foundation for the student work in the new semester. All teachers and students will meet the challenges of the new semester with a more vigorous attitude and work together to promote the college’s various work to a higher level.
