On the afternoon of July 10th, The School of Architecture and Design held a meeting to announce the adjustment of cadres in the old Mining Building. The meeting was attended by Luo Xianping, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of JXUST, Li Benliang, executive vice president of the Party School, secretary of the Party Committee and deputy director of the organization department of the Party Committee, Zhou Xiaojin, secretary of the Party Committee of School of Architecture and Design, Wang Youjian, president of our hospital, and faculty and staff of the whole school. The meeting was presided over by Li Benliang.
At the beginning of the meeting, Li Benliang announced the decision of Comrade Wang Youjian to officially assume the post of Dean of School of Architecture and Design.
Luo Xianping pointed out that the adjustment of the leadership team was made by the superior party Committee of our university from the overall situation, according to the relevant regulations such as the Working Conditions for the Selection and Appointment of Leading Cadres of the Party and Government, the Implementation Measures for the Management of the Selection and Appointment of Committee Cadres of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology of the Communist Party of China, so as to meet the need of the actual construction of the leadership team of the school He also put forward three expectations for the team building and overall work of our school: First, the leadership team should take a clear-cut stand and talk about politics, and resolutely uphold General Secretary Xi Jinping’s core position on the CPC Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and uphold the Central Committee’s authority and its centralized, unified leadership. Second, Leading cadres should move forward, work hard to promote development and innovation, and push the school career to a new level. Third, cadres should shoulder the mission bravely, overcome difficulties and make great achievements, and do a good job in personnel cultivation, scientific research, serving the society and cultural inheritance with higher requirements.
At the meeting, Wang Youjian made a statement. He first expressed his gratitude to the superior leaders and all faculty, and said that he would keep in mind his diligence, perform his duties in a down-to-earth manner, and do well, effectively and steadfastly. He pointed out that for a new school, new formats, new opportunities and new challenges, we should root in discipline characteristics and professional characteristics, seek development with overall awareness, make accurate decisions and seek careers, and constantly promote discipline construction. It is necessary to take party building as the guide and educate teachers and students according to laws and regulations. We will unite teachers and students with emotion and reason, manage the school in a democratic way, and become more aware of the need to uphold political integrity, keep in mind the bigger picture, follow the CPC as the core of the Chinese leadership, act consistently with CPC Central Committee policy.
What’s more, we should resolutely carry out the "two maintenances", implement the school's decision-making arrangements with a realistic and pragmatic style, and strive to educate personnel for the party and cultivate talents for the country.
Finally, Zhou Xiaojin, secretary of the Party Committee of the College, said that the school will strictly implements the decision of the superior Party Committee, unite the team members in the future work, and lead the teachers and students to jointly create a bright future for the College of Architecture and Design.
