In the cool autumn with laurel fragrant, the Freshmen of 2020 Entrance Education Conference was held in the West Campus. On September 18th. Wang Kun, the Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of China of our school, Wen Xiaojun, the dean assistant, got together with all freshmen of School of Architecture and Design attended the meeting. This meeting was chaired by Mr. Su Yawei, the head of the Student Affairs Office and Chinese Communist Youth League of School of Architecture and Design.
At the conference, Deputy Secretary Wang Kun extended a warm welcome to all the freshmen of 2020. Later, he focused on the four different lives of university students, gave suggestions on the freshmen’s study and life, pointed out the direction for the freshmen’s future campus life, and put forward expectations that the freshmen should stick to Jiangxi University of Science and Technology’s motto of "VISION&RESPONSIBLITY", adhere to our school's concept of " Build the style of URPA, Promote the spirit of design", and strive to be a vigorous and energetic "builder"!
Wen Xiaojun, the dean assistant, gave a detailed introduction to our school's discipline construction, faculty, and employment prospects based on the background of the establishment of our school. He also gave a more in-depth introduction to the local Hakka culture and Red Revolution culture, so that the students can better integrate into the JXUST family, and arouse the patriotism of the students.
Mr. Su Yawei introduced the basic information of our school in detail, and launched entrance education in the perspectives of the student handbook, safety education and state aid. He encouraged the freshmen to study hard, improve their comprehensive quality in all aspects, pay attention to the construction of study habit, class unity and dormitory life, and gradually find their own development path in college life.
After freshman entrance education conference, the freshmen of 2020 have a better understanding of university, school and major. We believe that they have had new goals, and have been full of hope for their future! (Text/Lu Yu)
